Privacy policy
This policy explains what data is processed when you use ActifBase, and how to exercise your rights.
Who is responsible
The data controller is FOCH CONSULTING, 152 avenue de Malakoff, 75016 Paris, France. Contact: mochegorsd [at] gmail [dot] com.
The amounts you enter in the calculators
Calculations run entirely in your browser. The amounts and settings you enter in the calculators are not sent to our servers or stored. When you use "Copy link", your inputs are included in the page address and are only shared if you send that link to someone.
My portfolio (stock tracker)
- Without an account: the purchases you enter are stored only in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to our servers; only the price files, identical for every visitor, are downloaded.
- With an account (optional): to show your portfolio on several devices, we store your email address and the content of your portfolio (holdings, dates, quantities, prices and account types). Legal basis: performing the service you ask for. This data is only used to sync your devices and send sign-in links; it is never sold, shared or used for advertising.
- Session cookie: once signed in, a strictly necessary cookie ("ab_session", valid for 180 days) keeps you signed in. It does not require consent and is not read by any third party.
- Emails: sign-in links are sent by our email provider, Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), acting as a processor.
- Retention: until you delete your account, which you can do at any time with the "Delete my account" button, and no longer than two years after your last sign-in. The data is hosted in Germany (DigitalOcean, LLC, Frankfurt).
Advertising and cookies
To stay free, the site will be funded by advertising served by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and the UK, Google LLC elsewhere). Until it is activated, no advertising cookie is set.
- EEA and UK visitors: advertising cookies and similar technologies from Google and its partners are only used after you consent through Google's certified consent management platform, shown on your first visit. Refusing is as easy as accepting.
- US visitors: Google may use cookies to show personalised ads. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia), you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising; we honour Global Privacy Control signals where required.
- You can change your choices at any time with the "Privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider (DigitalOcean, LLC, server in Frankfurt, Germany) records technical logs (IP address, date, page requested, browser) to keep the service secure and working. This is based on our legitimate interest; the logs are not used for profiling and are kept for a limited time, six months at most.
Emails you send us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and your message. We only use them to reply, keep them for as long as needed to handle your request and at most three years after our last exchange, and never sell or share them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Residents of some US states have similar rights to know, delete, correct and opt out. To exercise them, write to mochegorsd [at] gmail [dot] com. You can also complain to a data protection authority: the CNIL in France (cnil.fr), the authority of your EU country, or the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK (ico.org.uk).
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
